In Lukovska Banja, 37 sources of therapeutic thermo-mineral waters have been registered, with temperatures ranging from 28 to 69°C. The thermo-mineral water used in the medical centers of both hotels and in the hotel pools falls into the category of sodium, calcium, magnesium hydrocarbonate, and slightly sulfide hyperthermal waters.

According to balneological analyses, the healing waters of Lukovska Banja are of exceptionally high quality, thanks to their favorable chemical composition, high temperature, and the presence of dissolved hydrogen sulfide. The water is highly mineralized, containing over 1 g/l of dissolved substances, and exhibits pronounced hyperthermality, allowing precise cooling for therapeutic use depending on medical indications. The presence of dominant ions of sodium, magnesium, and calcium, along with hydrogen sulfide that is readily absorbed through the skin, provides a strong healing effect, particularly for rheumatic conditions and dermatological disorders.

In the treatment process, medicinal mud is also used, prepared in combination with the thermal water. Soil with a specific mineral composition is carefully ground and mixed with the therapeutic water, and the resulting peloid is then used for indirect applications on painful areas. This mineral mud has intense therapeutic properties and beneficial effects on numerous ailments, contributing to rapid pain relief and tissue regeneration.
